GRASP receives Best Paper Award

Duisburg/Essen, August 26, 2025 – From August 20 to 22, 2025, Duisburg hosted the 2nd International Conference on Auditing & Artificial Intelligence – an international forum for thought leaders from academia and practice who focus on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Auditing. The event was organized by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Marc Eulerich, Head of the Mercator Audit and Artificial Intelligence Research Center (MAARC) at the University of Duisburg-Essen.

DextraData GRC Technologies GmbH supported the conference not only as an active partner but also, for the first time this year, presented the "GRASP Best Paper Award" for the best scientific paper. The award recognized outstanding research that makes a practical contribution to the integration of AI technology into audit and assurance processes. Voted on by the audience, the awards went to Joy Gray (Arizona State University) for her contribution "Which skills do we need in the future? How to prepare current and future auditors for the AI revolution" and to Scott Emett (Arizona State University) for his paper "The Human Exceptionalism Reflex".
